Privacy policy

Updated October 1, 2026. Pebble Pals is operated by Kitsilando Inc. Contact team@kitsilando.ca about privacy or your information.

Who the service is for

Pebble Pals is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. Accounts are for adults, not children. Use age ranges or ages in months for your children; do not include children’s full names, birth dates, photos, home addresses or other identifying details in public content.

Information you provide

Account features use your email address and an account identifier. Email sign-in stores a protected password hash rather than your plain-text password. Apple or Google sign-in provides an identity token and account information such as your email address; we do not receive your Apple or Google password.

A parent profile can contain your first name, city, neighbourhood, children’s ages in months, interests, availability and an introduction. A parent photo is optional and currently stays on your device. Playdate features use the title, public meeting place, time, age range, capacity and notes you provide, along with joining requests and saved favourites.

Current release status

The iOS app is in development. Accounts and account profiles use our backend during testing. Prototype playdates, saved items and reminders currently stay on the device. Interactive website previews use sample content and do not submit playdate requests. This policy will be updated as shared playdate features become available.

How information is used

We use information to provide sign-in, profiles and planning features, save your preferences, respond to support and safety reports, and protect the service. Profile sharing is controlled in the app. When shared playdates launch, details you choose to share will be visible to other participating users as described in the app.

Notifications

Playdate reminders are optional local notifications. iOS asks for your permission. You can change a reminder in the app and change notification permission in iOS Settings.

Service providers and website logs

Google Cloud provides hosting services. Hosting systems may record technical information such as IP addresses, request paths, timestamps and errors for operation and security. Apple and Google handle their respective sign-in services under their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers on this website. Service providers may process information outside your country.

Retention and deletion

Account information is kept while needed to provide the service. Account deletion removes the account and associated active service data; device-only prototype data can be cleared using the option in the deletion flow. Support correspondence and limited security or legal records may need to be kept separately. Service-provider backups and logs follow their retention settings and may not be erased immediately.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, leave optional fields blank, control profile sharing, disable reminders, and delete your account. Email us to ask about access, correction or deletion, or to report an account used by someone under 18.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and communicate material changes through the service where appropriate.
